A few weeks ago the European Parliament described the body scanners known as crazy and it was ridiculous to hear the adjective. But this happened before Christmas day, a 23 years trying in-flight bombing of the Northwest Company having circumvented the security measures and make explosives on the plane.
Since those incident countries like the United Kingdom, Italy and Germany announced the gradual incorporation of these scanners that virtually strip the passenger and a very high level of detail that lets you know if you have dentures or even see their genitals.
Gordon Brown, British Prime Minister, announced the introduction of this system at British airports as a precautionary measure against any kind of incident and it was, plus the traditional and comprehensive records searches of hand luggage for explosives.
He also said: “We have recognized that new types of weapons used by al Qaeda and we have to respond accordingly and this is a new type of threat and comes from a new source, obviously, is Yemen, although there are other potential sources as Somalia, Afghanistan and Pakistan as well.
Well so is the thing, others pay the bill and we will embarrass depending on our next holiday destination not to confuse us with a terrorist.
